Communication
NDSU email is an official communication method at NDSU. Emails sent from a non-NDSU address and emails that ask questions that are answered in the syllabus may not be answered.
Syllabus Changes and Scope
The instructor reserves the right to change the syllabus at any time and for any reason. Students will be informed of any changes. Changes made will result in less or equivalent work for the students. Anything not covered in this syllabus will be handled at the instructor’s discretion and following applicable university policies.
Students with Special Needs
Any students with disabilities or other special needs, who need special accommodations in this course, are invited to share these concerns or requests with the instructor and contact the Center for Accessibility and Disability Resources as soon as possible.
Academic Honesty
The academic community is operated on the basis of honesty, integrity, and fair play. NDSU Policy 335: Code of Academic Responsibility and Conduct applies to cases in which cheating, plagiarism, or other academic misconduct have occurred in an instructional context. Students found guilty of academic misconduct are subject to penalties, up to and possibly including suspension and/or expulsion. Student academic misconduct records are maintained by the Office of Registration and Records. All instances of academic misconduct in this class are reported and penalties may range from assignment grade deductions to failing the course.
Artificial Intelligence
Artificial Intelligence provides new and developing tools that you are expected to navigate maturely as a professional musician. There are numerous practical applications for such tools, and you are encouraged to explore these. However, your use of AI should be clearly documented or cited, and any attempt to present the work of AI as your own will be reported as an academic misconduct violation.

Your personally identifiable information and educational records as they relate to this course are subject to FERPA.
